The winner was different because it works on many different levels: it is socially engaged, it answers a problem and besides that, it is well designed, well executed and it has a humour to it that makes it stay in your mind.

That is how Mel Woods, the president of this year's jury, explained their decision. Besides Magdalena, DSKB Catalog by Katarina Zlatec from Zagreb, Croatia, won a golden bra for best spoof communication.

Altogether 17 golden and 12 silver bras were awarded this year, most of them to young creatives from Croatia.

Attention, attention!

Some instructions and information for this glorious evening:

the weather forecast is 90 % chance of rain, and since we don't want to risk you all catching a cold, the Dubioza kolektiv concert is moved to Štuk hall (see where it is or read how to get there).
the Diskobajagi DJ/VJ spectacle will, as planned, take place in Naskov dvorec, starting about an hour after the end of the concert - just enough time for you to get back and prepare for some more jumping and dancing ;)
last but not least, don't forget about the Award Ceremony, starting at 8 p.m in Narodni dom Maribor (the same place as every year)

Surreal City of Maribor

Yesterday some strange creatures were born in the dungeons of Magdalena Festival, and they threaten to conquer Maribor.

You will find them in different places spread around the center of the city.
Apparently they are not dangerous, but anyway if you see them contact immediately with the authorities! :)

The presentation of the workshop outcomes will be held today @ 4.30 p.m. in Naskov dvorec.

Who's the winner?

Wanna know who'll be leaving this year's festival with the big fat Magdalena in his/her bag?

Well, so do we, but the jury have their lips sealed. All we know for now is that thier doing a hell of a hard work, choosing from among 547 entries this year ... and that their decision won't be easy.

And if you want to be the first to know who this year's winner is, make sure not to miss the big Awards ceremony, tomorow at 20.00 (8 p.m.) in Narodni dom in Maribor.
