Ian Willingham

Combining years of experience from the worlds of sociology, ethnography, educational strategy, planning, design, advertising, farming and inner city life in London, Ian is a partner at Firsthand where he looks after messaging and business development .

His current pet project is the "people-shaped" manifesto which calls for designers and manufacturers to press the reset on their wasteful practices.

Before coming to Firsthand, Ian spent six years as head of D&AD's student awards, having previously worked in the music industry as a specialist buyer. Parallel to daily working life he is involved in a variety of ongoing musical projects throughout Europe.
