Kanda Kodza i Nebojsa (KKN) were formed in 1991 in Belgrade, Serbia (still former Yugoslavia). Bands original line-up comprised of Vladislav Rac (bass), Rastko Lupulovic (guitar), Stevan Dimitrijevic (drums) and Oliver Nektarijevic (vocals).

The name originated from the word game Rastko had with a friend. Their debute release was a live album Guarda Toma! on Metropolis records in 1996. Following Rastko’s departure to the monastery of Decani, Ivan Topisirovic took over on the guitar same year. First studio album Igracka placka (B92, 1998) stirred up a great deal of local and national attention. Even though the production of the album wasn't up to par with the quality of music, this was a startling collection of songs that transcended structural boundaries and was often cited as one of the greatest Serbian rock albums of the 90’s. Soon after Igracka placka was released, Stevan left the group and was replaced with Vladan Rajovic. The subsequent Become (B92, 2000) was created during the spring of 1999 (at the time of NATO bombing), and it offered more relaxed reggae and acid–jazz touch.

The group disbanded at the end of 2001. After Oliver’s yearlong trip to Los Angeles and lengthy period of inactivity, the band started working again in 2003. The new line-up of Oliver, Vladan, Nenad Pejovic (guitar), Nikola Novakovic (guitar) and Branislav Dragovic (bass) wrote fresh material using more of a rock and blues based approach, still retaining their recognisable reggae-influenced feel and spirituality. Prekidi stvarnosti (PGP RTS) was released in 2005 to wide critical acclaim and the album was promoted through frequent gigs in Serbia and the region of South East Europe. Same year Zerkman (trumpet) joined the band. At the end of 2006 the band participated in classical composer Irena Popovic’s rock opera - performance dedicated to W. A. Mozart. Discography “Guarda Toma!” (Metropolis 1996.) “Igracka placka” (B 92 1998.) "Become" (Free B 92 2000.) "Prekidi stvarnosti" (PGP RTS 2005.)
